After watching video 3, follow these steps to get the most out of this part of the series:

// Step 1

Read and meditate on this passage: “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

// Step 2

Answer these discussion questions:

    1. Which of these biblical principles have you considered while making difficult decisions? Have your thoughts changed after watching this video?
    2. Do you agree that God can work, even through the prospect of death? Why or why not?

// Step 3

Spend time in prayer:

Holy Father,
You love us at depths the human mind and heart can barely understand.
Nothing can separate me from your love.
Help me and my family to rest in that truth.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.

// Step 4

Listen to the Focus on the Family Broadcast Navigating End-of-life Decisions” with Dr. Margaret Cottle and Kara and Jason Tippetts as they discuss how families can navigate these difficult decisions.

// Step 5

Read the article What to say to someone who is dying” for practical advice from palliative care physician Dr. Margaret Cottle.
