About the Position

We are looking for an energetic and engaging professional with a wholehearted desire to contribute to the mission of Focus on the Family Canada by helping francophone families thrive. The French Coordinator supports the Focus Famille – Project Lead in facilitating the initiatives of Focus on the Family Canada that are directed at helping French-speaking families in Canada, including the quarterly production of a French-language magazine, maintenance of French websites and support of families engaged with the ministry. The position is based out of our head office in Langley, BC.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Collaborating with Project Lead on projects such as the magazine, websites, print mailings, marketing communication, etc.
  • Maintaining our social media pages on Facebook (Focus Famille and Grandir dans l’Integrite), Instagram and Twitter (Focus Famille).
  • Interacting with francophone constituents through various channels (email, social media, phone, mail).
  • Working with other departments to manage magazine and newsletter subscriptions.
  • Liaising with design department to create images for social media pages and the website.
  • Uploading and managing content for multiple websites.
  • Completing additional administrative tasks and duties as required.

About You

As an ideal candidate, you will be fluent in both English and French with strong written communication skills. You will have a post-secondary education with a focus in marketing, communications or related discipline. You are self-motivated, highly organized, attentive to detail, a problem-solver and able to multi-task. You display patience, tact and sensitivity when responding to constituent interests and concerns. You are a flexible team player with a desire to learn and improve your existing skill set. Success in this position is dependent upon strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to assist with creative project production in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. Though not required, the ability to translate articles from English to French and create original French content would be considered an asset. Above all, this important role requires an individual who maintains a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and a courteous, Christlike attitude in dealing with people within and outside Focus on the Family Canada by adhering to our Standards of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith.
