The “Alive from New York” event was held by Focus on the Family in the U.S. on May 4, 2019. This event celebrated the sanctity of human life; marveled at the wonder of human development in the womb; and encouraged advocacy for women facing unplanned pregnancies and the pre-born.

This successful event brought together a diverse group of speakers, such as Alveda King, evangelist and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, retired NFL player Benjamin Watson, Abby Johnson, a former director of a Planned Parenthood clinic, and others. Each of them shared their personal experiences and encouraged those present to be a voice for the sanctity of human life. One of the event highlights was a live 4D ultrasound of Abby Johnson’s baby displayed on large screen, with the sound of the baby’s heartbeat resounding through Times Square.
